Kaziranga University is fast emerging as a coveted educational institute of its times in North – East India and being a knowledge hub of upper Assam it also has a social responsibility towards the society as a whole.
The recent increase in poaching activities inside the Kaziranga National Park has raised a lot concern towards rhino conservation in and around the state.
The University under its Corporate Social Responsibility activities has joined hands with Department of Forest, Government of Assam to create mass awareness to save the endangered rhino species, the pride of Assam. Thus apart from providing high class education to young minds, the University in its own small way endeavours to work towards the protection and preservation of the one horned rhinos.
This awareness campaign has been launched to break the myths surrounding rhino horns that have no scientific basis. To raise its voice against this brutality, KU has tied its hands with the other stakeholders and appeals to the masses to walk an extra mile for the great cause. It is the need of the hour to save the majestic animal, the pride of Assam.
Come let us all walk the extra mile and take a firm step forward towards ensuring a safe future for the Rhinos.
We all love to see it.. Now let's decide whether dead or alive ?
