Walkathon 2013
The Great Save Rhino Walkathon 2013: The recent rise in rhino killings especially in Kaziranga National Park has raised lot concern towards rhino conservation in and around the state but no concrete efforts has been made to consolidate the masses against this brutality. So, The Great Save Rhino Walkathon 2013 is an endeavor by Kaziranga University to sensitize the society about Rhino Conservation and generating responsibility among the masses of Assam and India at large. The Walkathon is thus a humble effort to break the myths surrounding rhino horns that have no scientific basis and save the majestic animal, the pride of Assam. Kaziranga University has tied its hands with the other stakeholders and appeals to the masses to walk an extra mile for the great cause. The University firmly considers this initiative to be the most apt way to take a step forward towards a noble cause. So,
